This week we continue looking at the Human Body. Remember, as we go through this entire unit, add to, redo, edit your Human Body Notebook 10 projects. Send it to hoopmanscience@gmail.com. This week as a class we are editing and adding to the pages on the circulatory system.
How does the circulatory system move nutrients and wastes?
How are the nturients delivered to cells that need them?
Contracts for this week focus on these questions. Use the Human Body Google Doc we created as a list of resources to use in your research and use this form to add new resources.
Waste and nutrients are in our blood and our blood circulates through our body.
ReplyDelete^Oxygen poor blood goes to lungs-get Oxygen & release CO2-in aveoli
ReplyDelete^Blood-back to heart and to aorta and other arteries
^through capillaries-Oxygen & nutrients through walls to tissue & waste Ex:CO2 from tissue to veins
^ to heart & back to lungs=CO2 dropped off & Oxygen picked up
This may be math, but if there is 60,000 miles of veins and it takes 2 minutes then how fast is the blood traveling?
ReplyDeleteIs the 60,000 miles of veins really veins or are they all the arteries and other parts too?
