This week we continue looking at the Human Body. Remember, as we go through this entire unit, add to, redo, edit your Human Body Notebook 10 projects. Send it to hoopmanscience@gmail.com. This week as a class we are editing and adding to the pages on the skeletal and muscular systems.
What is the function of the skeletal system? the muscular system?
What are some of the parts of these systems and what do they do?
Contracts for this week focus on these questions. Use the Human Body Google Doc we created as a list of resources to use in your research and use lasts week's form to add new resources.

What Is The Most Used Muscle In Your Body? I Know...Do You?
The most used muscle in your body is your heart Probaly
Muscles have 3 main functions:
1.Movement-by muscle cells contracting and expanding
2.Temperature-cells release energy from sugars Ex: glucose
3.Posture-if you don't use a muscle often enough it will become weak or if you have bad posture all the time it will stay like that
So if there are 206 bones in the human body, is that counting each finger and bones like that?
i really dont get how muscles work like how does the filament and protien and all that make your muscles move.
Does anyone know what the 3 types of muscles ikn the body?
What is the strongest muscle in your body?
How many muscles are in your body?
I think the most used muscle in your body is your heart because you use it all the time. The tongue is the strogest muscle in the human body, for its size.
yeah, it is the heart. but i dont get why its even a muscle when it doesn't help make you stable. that's what the main point of a muscle is in general.
A FLEXOR- is a muscle that bends a joint.
A EXTENSOR- is a muscle that straighten a joint.
Kathryn,
I would hope your question would be answered in contract presentations tomorrow.
The Heart....Incorrect! It's Your Eye Muscle..
Myles,
There are 640 bones in your body
if a musle tares how dose ity conect back together
Myles,to answer your question "How many muscles are in the human body?",there is no actual number of muscles in the body. That is because there is variability between muscle structure in individuals. I'm almost sure there are more than 640, though. That is because that's about how many skeletal muscles there are.
M\meant 640 mucsles
they grow back togther
Drew, there are 640 skeletal muscles. There are different types of muscles than skeletal muscles.(Cardiac and Smooth)
the to halfs of muscle fuse back together over time
Myles, the strongest muscle inyou body for its size is the toung, the stongest muscle all together is the quadreceip or the rear leg bone.
A lot of people should learn proper English. How could you spell tongue wrong?
Is it possible that a persons neck muscle can be bigger than there head?
evan we use or arms and feet all the time
