Waves are caused by differentiating wind speeds, underwater volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and landslides.
Are there different time lengths for tides? Like does each tide last for a different length of time or are they all the same?
so if we don't get a tide on the opposite side of the Earth from the moon by leaving water behind how does it happen?
Why do some places have two high tides and two low tides but other places along the coast don't have that many a day?
Why is there one tide in a day somwhere and two tides in a day somewhere else?
How do tidal dams affect animal movement.

tides are caused when the pull from gravity moving the waves causing it to be bigger
this happens because i KNOW i heard this in class
but yea, this happens because the bottem of the water is hitting the surface making it want to stop
so as in example: wen people are walking and someone stops because of SOMETHING the other people behind THAT person stops because of THAT person in the front causing to have alot of people clumped together
so as for water this makes a big hunk of water getting squished together making it higher because the water in the bottem is slowing down because its slowing down cus of the surface
when is a tide bigger??? how do we know???

it is important to learn about water and where it comes from because the eath is 75% water. Asking these questions give us more insite about the planet we live on and can probally (edvantually) answer questions about how the world began of will end.
