This week we egin our final section before our unit exam. We will be looking at natural resources, how we use them and what effects that has.

What are natural resources?
How do we use natural resources in our daily lives?
What are the effects, good and bad,of our use of natural resources?
How do you recycle around the house?
Where do you take recyclables around here?
What does it cost? What happens to stuff after you throw it in the blue bin? What do you do to conserve natural resources?
Does conservation really save money and resources? How much?
This week's contracts ask you to look at your own use of natural resources. Come to class on friday and talk about how your lives are affected ny natural resources.

A natural resource is any energy source, organism, or substance found in nature that people use.We use natural resources in our lives to heat our homes, run our cars, and provide light for us to see.The effects of useing natural resources can be good or bad, for example wind turbine generate electricity with out polluting the environment while buring coal to generate electricity does.

I recycle my aluminum cans in a co-op in Random Lake. I don't know the exact name of the place, but for 3-4 bags of crushed aluminum cans, I think I got about $7. It's a good thing to recycle.

A natural resource is a resource that is used as energy, or a an organism that people use. We use natural resources to do everyday task such as running water, or running cars. The good things about natural resources are we can find them easily sometimes and certain types can be an efficient source of energy without harmful effects. Bad things how ever about natural resources are we only have a certain amount of some resources on the earth, and some can be harmful to the environment, like burning coal. We recycle around the house by putting glass and plastics bottles in a certain bin. Then when the garbage man comes around you set it out and they seperate it at the waste distribution center. We conserve energy natural resources by using Energy Star appliances, only using the dishwasher when its full, cutting the grass a little higher, by using fluorescent light bulbs, and many other ways.

There are two types of natural resources. Renewable, and non-renewable resources. Renewable resources are resources that can be renewed easily, like sunlight, and non-renewable are resources that have to be conserved like fossil fuels.
