5.2 & 5.3: Reduce and Reuse

Last week we looked at what we used to heat our homes and power the appliances we use everyday. This week we think about ways to extend and reuse these resources.

How can we conserve our natural resources?
What items can we recycle in our homes?

Over the next two weeks we will be working on Contract 11 and Contract 12. This will wrap up our first unit and prepare us for our first Unit Exam!

Contracts 11 & 12

we can conserve heat and gas by turning down the water heaters and not using our cars and automobiles as often as we do. we can recycle things such as paper and glass or plasctic bottle to help our enviroment. By throwing thoses things away they help fill up our landfills and that is bad for the world.when you are thinking about throwing away paper think twice before you do it also think to yourself did you use both sides of the paper thats another way we can help our enviroment is by using it all until thier is now more room to use it anymore and then instead of just throwing it in the garbage and thinkng that, oh it's only one piece it won't matter, but you have to relize even the smallest thnigs matter!

well, one way we can reduce is taht we can turn off the lights when we're not in the room. another way is we can unplug things we're not using. a way we can recycle is save plastic water bottles and reuse them as bottles for other things. you could save food and put them in a compost. also along with saving plastic bottles you could save glass too. by doing these things our enviroment will become a more happy and healthier place.

haha :)
