I think the endocrine system uses hormones instead of nerves as messengers because the hormones dont just carry the message, they also bring along a chemical that helps your body respond to different situations.
Hormones are chemical messangers that affect your body automatically and are signaled by nerves(sometimes) and are registerd in hypothalamus=where nerves and hormones controlled from brain
Ex: Nerves sense pain and adrenal(hormone) goes there or platelets clot because of hormone

hormones are probably made in the endocrine glands by cells
Lucas your body needs hormones to help our bodies work properly, to keep us healthy, to controland organize the work our body does, help us to maintain a good energy level, and to help our cells and organs to grow and develop normally
